Hello and Bonjour!

Hope you are all ok back in England! Sorry for not blogging we will try to do it more often! We are all fine here and it’s a lot cooler because we have had at least one thunder storm every day!!!! Mowzer doesn’t like it though as she is cold so she fluffs herself up and sits on our laps where it’s cooler. Lately she has been climbing up to the veranda roof pretending to be a civet (the wild cats which were in the veranda roof!) Also a while a go we saw hippos in the river Chari in the middle of town! We saw 5 adults and 4 babies and since it rained we have had some Marabou and Open billed storks just outside the compound there are egrets and herons too! Now that we are on summer holidays we have started French lessons which are going very well and we are sorting out all the things in the hospital. Last week we came across loads of children’s books left by some American missionaries who went back and whose house we are living in so we have some more books to read! We hope to go on holiday to the neighbouring country Cameroon and also down south to a place called Bebalem where it’s supposed to be cooler! Someone who went to Bebalem said that she had to wear a jumper for the first few days! There is a new short termer here now called Clare who’s helping to set up the hospital, she is a nurse and very nice! Some time ago we got some caterpillars and now they have turned into beautiful swallowtail butterflies! We have got another different caterpillar now to see what it will turn into! Thank you to everyone who has sent post! It all came in a huge load just after we had had none for ages it was really nice so please send more! We will try to blog, skype and email more!
Hope you are all well!
