We’ve started School!

Hello,
Today we started our new school! Yesterday we did a test to decide which classes we should be in, we both did well on the test and are in the right years for our age! Today we actually started school and have made some friends already, luckily there’s an English speaker in both our classes. Unfortunately Ruth’s first lesson happened to be Spanish in French! We are getting used to the heat now though we were still quite shocked when on Saturday our thermometer for outside in direct sunlight read 54° Celsius & 40° in the shade! Luckily we were indoors at the time-a cooler 34.7˚Celsius. The French is very confusing at school though we will get used to it in the end. Ruth has had a really good birthday thanks to everyone who sent presents! Hope you are all ok!
Bye
Ruth and Rebecca
P.S What is this thing we saw in the garden on Ruth’s birthday? Please comment!

  1. Hi girls!
I'm glad you got into your right school years - you must have done very well to do it in French! I'm already jealous of your French skills! I hope you're having a great time at the moment and I'm sure you'll soon get used to the hot weather although I have to say it does sound pretty hard to live with! It was nice to skype your mum and dad the other night and Lucy and I will have to skype you soon so that should be fun! I'm loving these blog updates - keep them up! Byeee, Rachel x

  2. Hi Ruth and Rebecca.
So good to talk on skype tonight. It really is very funny but amazing. We do hope you managed toget some sleep before an early start for church in the morning. We also hope that our parcel arrives soon so that we can see what the post is like and how long it takes.
Grandad is looking forward to being 74 on Tuesday as he has been saying he is 74 for some time! Next week he really will be much older than me !
Congrats on your test results we are glad that there is one English speaker in your classes.
Grandad will write now - lots of love grandma. xx Could it be some sort of tree frog in your tree - we'll have to investigate. AS long as nothing bigger turns up this doesn't look too dangerous or frightening. Hope church & school go well lots of love G'Dad xxxx
